HBO'S BIG LOVE

OH MY HECK!! This show cracks me up! I have recieved a few emails regarding my thoughts on this show airing Sunday nights on HBO. Being raised Mormon and having lived in Utah, some of you think I have a strong opinion on this show. Well, I must say that the show is Entertainment, and I will leave it at that. The only reason I even watched the show in the first place is that I knew Tom Hanks had a hand in it, and I am a fan of Tom and most everything he does, off and on screen. Because a large part of my family are still practicing the Latter Day Saint religion, I will not give full view of my opinion on this show in order to keep peace and not offend. I am no longer in the mormon faith, yet I still believe in some of the basics of the church, which in part is Christianity. I believe the show is very Hollywood and I am okay with that, I certainly do not expect it to be REALISTIC in any way, yes of course I am sure they have done research and perhaps spent some time in a few of many COMPOUNDS in Utah to get the reality of life these people lead. I have known daughters of polygamists and they were wacked and knew they were wacked and if they could be given the choice, they would not participate in the lifestyle. These children have no choices. WHY would any woman choose to share their mate? I don't get it. I do like the homes in the show and the way they all come together in the back yard, I wish I could pick 2 of my closest friends and thier families and live that way, but all with our own husbands, that would be cool...
