PASS THE POPCORN PLEASE

Last week end Bill and I turned into movie goers gone wild, attending the Scottsdale Fim Festival sitting through 3-4 movies per day all in a row, we were in heaven! Our friends gave us VIP passes for the entire festival which was 5 days long. Having the VIP passes was great, we didn't have to stand in line to see the movies we wanted and we got to attend the opening and closing galas of the festival. There were some wonderful movies shown, my favorite would have to be MACHUCA a Chilean film. The movie is based in the early 70's during the military coup when the country fell apart. The story is told through the eyes of 2 11 year old boys who's stories are completely different. This movie was very emotional to watch at times, especially during the riots and the military take over. As a very young girl this was a very scary time in my life, I will never forget that experience and will be forever grateful to my father for getting us out of the country at that time. I highly recommend the movie. My othe favorites were Balzac a Chinese film and The Overture a Thai film both wonderful and beautiful. I think Bill's favorite was Balzac. We had a great week end of many amazing foreign films.
