MONTEZUMAS CASTLE

During our visit to Camp Verde this past week-end we visited Montezumas Castle. It's not realy a castle and Montezuma never lived in it. It's a 5 story 20 room cliff dweling nestled into a limestone recess high above Beaver Creek. It belonged to the prehistoric Sinagua Indians over 600 years ago. It is one of the best preserved cliff dwelling in North America. It truly is amazing to sit at the bottom of the hill and look up into this awesome build. Posted by Picasa
